J'avoue que j'en ai un peu soupé du Wolverine la , mais la review du scénar promet un actionner dramatique bien sympa

LSD: I would love it. We would love nothing more than to have Bryan do Wolverine, but Bryan is developing the sequel to Superman so I don't know, it depends on scheduling, but nothing would please all of us more.
IESB: Hugh also said that he was going to do Baz's [Lurhman] film, and then he wants four months to really bulk up and get in as best shape as possible. He was thinking January or February of 08...
LSD: Yes, I know, he is thinking that, we're thinking Fall. Sorry Hugh! [laughter]

LSD: I am about to say to his agent, because of his circumstance, we are going to go out to other people. We hope he does it but..



IESB: How about Dick Donner? laughter

LSD: Listen, nothing would make me happier, I would then step back because I don't produce him anymore, but I don't think he, you know, he feels he's done his comic book movie. In fact, he's just recut Superman II which is unbelievable you guys must go out and get that DVD. It's really, really good. And then send ten dollars because he doesn't get any points on it. laughter

IESB: Obviously, Superman II was made before you got involved with him, what do you think of the new cut?

LSD: I am so excited, I saw it, he screened it, it's so good. I remember seeing Superman II and thinking it was really stupid. And then I saw his, and oh my God, it's just so good. Margot [Kidder] and Chris [Reeve} are so, so good. It's so much Dick's personality up there. It's just great..

According to massive actor/wrestler Tyler Mane, discussions are under way to have his evil mutant from the original "X-Men" movie return for the highly anticipated Wolverine spinoff flick. "We will see," an optimistic Mane revealed recently. "There is talk of a Wolverine-Sabretooth [plot], and we will see what happens with that." Mane might have some competition from Vinnie Jones, however, who has insisted in the past that his Juggernaut will be the target of those famed adamantium claws. Fox is moving on with the production of Wolverine. We're hearing that there are two names on the short list of directors the studio has in mind.

It appears there is action on the Fox lot surrounding the X-Men spin-off movie, Wolverine.

Fox has been working on finding a director to helm the first of two possible franchise spin-offs from the X-Men franchise that Fox apparently put to rest, the other being Magneto.

Fox wants to ensure that Wolverine and Magneto can stand on their own after putting the kabosh on the expensive X-Men franchise, which would only continue to bloat its budget as the ensemble cast gets more expensive.

So to put things in the right hands, Fox is in talks with DJ Caruso. Caruso is a hot property after the success of Disturbia and is also being courted by Dreamworks for an unnamed project.

To hedge their bets, Fox may be looking at Len Wiseman as possibly directing if Caruso winds up at Dreamworks.

I'm not sure who Fox would rather have in the directors chair, but Wiseman may leap frog Caruso if Live Free, Die Hard is well received.

The David Benioff script tells the tale of a pre-X-Men Wolverine and the events surrounding his adamantium skeleton and claws.

David Goyer has already signed on to direct Magneto.

Calls have been put into the studios for comment.

Si le succès d'estime reçu par Tsotsi explique en partie la décision de la Fox de lui confier les commandes d'un tel projet, il reste à espérer que ses prétentions artistiques ne soient pas complètement étouffées par la démesure du film. En attendant, rendez-vous le 26 décembre pour découvrir Rendition, le thriller mis en boîte par Hood avec Jake Gyllenhaal et Reese Witherspoon dans les rôles principaux.

20th Century Fox has set a May 1, 2009 release date for Hugh Jackman starrer X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which director Gavin Hood (Rendition, Tsotsi) begins shooting later this year. David Benioff wrote the script.
"Wolverine" is expected to feature many other mutants -- some new to the film franchise and some from one or more of the three "X-Men" films. Liev Schreiber is reportedly in final talks to take on the role of a younger version of nemesis William Stryker, played by Brian Cox in X2.
As of now, the only other film staking out the May 1, 2009, date is Disney's animated film G-Force.
The film explores the claw-wielding character Wolverine's violent and romantic past, and his complex relationship with Victor Creed and the ominous Weapon X program, as well as his encounters with other mutants.
Hood will start shooting in Australia before moving to New Zealand and, later, to New Orleans.
Producing are Lauren Shuler Donner and Ralph Winter, producers of the "X-Men" movies, along with Jackman and producing partner John Palermo through their Seed Productions. Marvel's Kevin Feige will executive produce.

Now that we know the release date for X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Scene.co.nz has provided even more shooting details:
[Wolverine] will be shot around Queenstown and Central Otago over December and January.
According to industry sources, who asked not to be named, a production office has already been set up in town to employ several locals and out-of-towners.
The four- to six-week shoot could see 100 or more Queenstowners hired as set builders, grips, runners, drivers, caterers and the like.
More than one set will be built in the Wakatipu but shooting will also take place in Central Otago, including Naseby.
Interior shooting will take place afterwards at Fox Studios in Sydney.

Twentieth Century Fox has added three more superheroes to "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," with Ryan Reynolds set to play Deadpool, "Friday Night Lights" regular Taylor Kitsch to star as Gambit and hip-hop artist will.i.am joining the cast as Wraith.
Liev Schreiber, Danny Huston and Lynn Collins round out the cast as Victor Creed/Sabretooth, Col. William Stryker and Kayla Silverfox, respectively.

Reynolds has been circling the role of Deadpool, an assassin with self-healing powers, for some time; Marvel is keen on spinning off the character into his own film series.

Fox and Marvel have also long wanted to add the popular card-throwing character of Gambit to the "X-Men" franchise but could never find a way to give him enough screen time among the many other mutants that have appeared in each film.

Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am will play Wraith, a mutant who was the power to teleport.

Lauren Shuler Donner and Ralph Winter are producing with Jackman and his Seed Prods. producing partner John Palermo. Marvel's Kevin Feige exec produces.

FilmSchoolRejects is reporting that Wild Hogs, Mystery, Alaska and 3:10 to Yuma actor Kevin Durand will play The Blob in X-Men Origins: Wolverine:

Our source inside the production tells us that Durand was "live-scanned" for The Blob a while ago, but has just officially signed on to the project in recent days. Word is that he will be heading up to his native Canada to shoot scenes for the film sometime next week. This is also important because the rest of the production is happening half way across the world in New Zealand and Australia.
